About This Web-Site

“Siri-Bhoovalaya” is an Inimitable Unique Multi-lingual treasure house of knowledge which is still largely unexplored and untouched. Though Siri Bhoovalaya has predominantly a Kannada base, but it has so much for all other communities and sections of society that there should be no shortage of efforts to make this heritage reach all concerned.  There is surprising lack of awareness about this great marvel scripted in numbers by Muni Kumudendu. It is quite discomforting to note absence of appreciation in particular among North Indians and  in professional circles all over the Globe.

Purpose of this web-site is to provide a broad spectrum platform for inquisitive individuals, technology professionals, language specialist, and knowledge interpreters etc. For a wider reach this web-site will include material / posts / white-papers  in English and Hindi along with other languages.

All are invited to put in their valuable suggestions, comments and contributions in every possible manner to make this web-site more purposeful and worthwhile.

It is nice to read that Mr. Y. K. Mohan, a publisher (who has already published three volumes of Siribhoovalaya) and Mr. Anil Kumar, a jain himself, have started a healthy dialogue on the world’s only numerical literature that transcends all languages, religions and knowledge. But I sincerely feel that, as the whole work was done by a Kannada saint, the basic knowledge of Kannada is necessary to begin with. Let us explore the infinite possibilities of this unique grantha. Most importantly, every child should know about Siribhoovalaya and how to play with numbers and alphabets.
I am a physician practicing in Coorg. I am giving a talk on Siribhoovalaya on Sunday, 7 August 2016, at Virajpet to high school students and general public.

Thanks a lot Dr. Narasimhan for words of appreciation. I have got some plans to pursue further research on this great granth. I want to publish a book in English as there is none. I invite help and assistance from all concerned to accord glory and recognition that Siri-Bhoovalaya and Muni Kumudendu deserve. I am grateful to Sri Y.K. Mohan and his associates for the publication in Hindi which led me to understand preliminaries of this unique creation and bow to Pt. Yellapa Shashtri and others who revived this creation which was lying dormant for centuries.
